Cadence is two things, and the second is easy to miss.
The first is the agent team: sixteen specialist roles — architect, backend, frontend,
database, security, QA, code review, standards, devops, compliance, release, product,
and a tech-lead orchestrator — defined once and built into a Claude Code plugin, an
AGENTS.md bundle for Codex, and a VS Code extension.
The second is the repository-intelligence layer every AI client on the machine depends on: MCP registration across all client surfaces, an LSP bridge, and a semantic index. One declaration fans out; no client config is ever hand-edited.
